DEPARTMENT OF BENGALI

Traditionally, the land, people, culture and social set up of North Bengal have given rise to love for literature. Historically, Coochbehar has contributed its mite for the   development of Bengali language and literature. Against such a rich backdrop, department of Bengali has been functioning since inception of our college. Considering the interest for the subject and past academic record, post graduate courses in Bengali has been introduced in this college since 2005.

PARTICIPATION OF TEACHERS IN ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL COUNSELING OF THE STUDENTS:

The teachers share a friendly relationship with the students. They encourage the students to perform better by providing additional study materials. The Faculty members also counsel the students on their personal issue, help them understand themselves, acquaint them with their hidden talents and help them try to be good Human beings.

PLACEMENT:

            The students of the department who have qualified in the NET and SLET examinations are currently teaching in colleges as full time and part time teachers.[Approx 10]

Others have been appointed in different schools through SSC and PSC examinations.
